So, Joan is due with our first baby in Mid April of 2008. We'll try to use this space for any interesting updates throughout the pregnancy. It is more aimed though as a way to spread some of the thousands of pics I'm sure we'll take of the young 'un.
First off , I want to see what everyone's prediction is as to the gender. We find out on November 20th and we'll surely spread the word quickly. So vote over to the right. If you get it right, you will be rewarded with the pride of having won a coin toss.

No comments yet??? Okay I voted and of course I voted for a girl. It just seems that it should be that way. However, I did hesitate for a moment and put a boy because then he could grow up and relieve my son Jacob from quarterback when he graduates at the most awesome University in the country that just happens to be located in Baton Rouge, LA but then I remembered girls are so cute to dress up especially in the colors of purple and gold--oops Yellow and she can be a cheerleader or part of that band from _ _ _ _ _ land!! Regardless, the baby will be precious I'm sure and adorable as he/she has awesome beautiful parents. Good Luck. I hope I win--Though I'm sure I will because as Joan knows so well these days I ALWAYS win!!
I'm voting for a girl. First, because I want Lillian to have a playmate. Second, because I know Brandon is already going to be so wrapped around that baby's little finger that it would be even more fun to see him with a little girl.
Okay I guess I am the only one that says a boy! Just cause I love little boys! He'll be so cute dressed in black and gold with snot hanging from his nose when he walks up to you with a great big smile to show you his half dead frog he's squishing!!! He'll be such a saint!
First, let me say that I am never right about predicting ANYTHING; however, my first thought was a boy. Sooo, you can pretty much count on it being a girl. No matter if it is a boy or a girl, we'll be sure and dress him/her up in plenty of Vermilion Red and White. ;)
There are too many boy Wallaces, anyway, so I am rooting for a girl. I think it will also be in the baby's best interest to allow her to make up her own mind on what team she'll want to represent. Purple doesn't look good on everyone, you know.
I voted for a girl - just going by the school of thought that girl sperm are slower but live longer so are likely to be conceived early in ovulation - which could explain why they moved your due date up. I have no psychic feelings or premonitions - otherwise I might have a clue about what our baby might be!
I voted for a girl just because I am so outnumbered-3 sons (whom I adore), and 4 male dogs. But whatever the outcome this baby will be loved dearly!
So I say boy because that was my first thought when I saw the ultrasound - I mean I did identify Ava Grace's "Boudreaux nose" at six weeks and from behind so I'm pretty good at these things. I have to say, though, girls are SO much more fun to dress; unless, of course, you plan to outfit him in the lime green monogrammed overalls with white shoes regardless of social consequences and doom him for a childhood of looking like Tweedle Dee anyway...in which case, I'd still be right.
I think she is having a girl. We have too many boys around here and it is about time I get to buy something pink!!! As long as Joan has a healthy pregnancy, delivery and baby it really doesn't matter what the baby is. But I'm still hoping for a girl!!!
I voted didn't vote "for" a boy, but I did vote that it probably is a boy from examining the ultrasound. However, if I were to vote "for" one sex I would say a girl. I agree with Heather, it would be cute to see Brandon with a little girl.
I know all of you boys would be wrapped around her little finger -and Aunt Ellen does deserve a little feminine presence!
